About the role

  • Senior Release Train Engineer leading large-scale Agile delivery for Manulife's Insurance Technology team. Aligning cross-functional teams to drive meaningful business outcomes while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize the flow of work across the Agile Release Train (ART)
  • Facilitate program-level Agile events, including PI Planning, ART Sync, and retrospectives
  • Align team-level objectives with program-level priorities and track delivery outcomes
  • Coach leaders, teams, and stakeholders on Agile and scaled Agile practices
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement
  • Identify, track, and resolve program-level risks and dependencies across multiple teams
  • Provide clear and consistent communication on program status, risks, and progress
  • Leverage delivery metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business leaders to align priorities and delivery plans

Requirements

  • Experience leading Agile delivery across multiple teams or large programs
  • Strong facilitation skills for cross-team planning and coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risks, dependencies, and program complexity
  • Experience coaching teams and stakeholders on Agile practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks (preferred)
  • Familiarity with modern software delivery practices (e.g., DevOps, CI/CD, DevSecOps) (preferred)
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms (preferred)
  • Exposure to program budgeting, capacity planning, or resource management (preferred)
