About the role

  • Director leading Workday, HR technology, analytics, and compliant payroll operations for Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation. Overseeing strategy, governance, reporting, and People & Culture teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve the HR technology strategy and roadmap, including Workday/HCMS and related HR systems
  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize and deliver HR systems enhancements, configurations, and process improvements
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee HR systems governance, data integrity, security, compliance, reporting, and audit requirements
  • Drive HR analytics, metrics, benchmarking, and external reporting
  • Foster continuous improvement through AI, Agile methodologies, stakeholder feedback, process optimization, and comprehensive documentation
  • Provide leadership and oversight for HR systems operations, budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, risk mitigation, business continuity, team capability development, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Provide strategic leadership for end-to-end payroll operations, including employee pay, statutory remittances, pension and benefits administration, reconciliations, audit support, and segregation of duties
  • Establish and maintain payroll governance and compliance frameworks
  • Oversee employee data integrity, security, retention, governance, documentation, process consistency, knowledge transfer, and operational excellence
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture aligned with OLG's Truths
  • Set expectations and provide coaching, feedback, development, and performance management
  • Promote collaboration across People & Culture and the organization

Requirements

  • University degree in Information Technology, Data/Business Analytics, Human Resources, Business Management, Accounting or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience working with and managing a human capital management system, ideally Workday
  • Certificate in Payroll preferred
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation is a strong asset
  • Strong strategic, critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Expertise in HR technology, analytics, leveraging AI, Agile and project management methodologies
  • Stakeholder relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Sound decision-making skills
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams
  • Ability to build and manage strategic partnerships with EIT, Finance, ELT, P&C leadership, vendors including Workday, and external consultants
