About the role

  • Enterprise Account Executive growing Overstory’s AI and satellite-imagery vegetation-risk business with Canadian electric utilities. Managing complex sales cycles, executive relationships, demonstrations, and seven-figure agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Canadian Power and Utility market end to end, starting from an existing book of major Canadian electric utilities
  • Build and grow business with Canadian utility accounts
  • Prospect into new utilities and earn time with senior leaders
  • Run consultative sales processes across complex stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrate the product and build business cases for prospects and qualified leads
  • Close agreements, including seven-figure deals
  • Prospect, qualify, manage relationships, and own the full sales process from first contact through closing
  • Close deals with targeted Canadian accounts
  • Attend industry events and trade shows while traveling throughout Canada to meet prospects
  • Maintain accurate deal information, next steps, probabilities, and communications in the sales CRM
  • Collaborate with sales and executive leadership, marketing, solutioning, customer success, and delivery teams

Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales experience at an enterprise software / SaaS company selling to Canadian customers
  • Proven track record of landing and expanding complex multi-stakeholder accounts
  • Startup experience, preferably VC-backed, Series A or B
  • Willingness to travel regularly
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented and receptive to feedback
  • Experience working inside a structured sales process and opportunity qualification framework
  • Prior success navigating long sales cycles with highly regulated industries
  • Experience selling to utilities is a plus
  • Familiarity with vegetation management, energy infrastructure, GIS data, or climate-related operational workflows is nice to have
  • Strong network within utility, energy, or infrastructure sectors is nice to have
