About the role

  • Managing Colliers’ Western Canada valuations and advisory business. Driving regional strategy, P&L growth, client development, quality assurance, and professional leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Valuations & Advisory Services business across Western Canada
  • Establish and execute a regional strategy driving sustainable revenue, market share, and profitability growth
  • Own regional P&L performance, including budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and investment decisions
  • Acquire new clients and expand key relationships
  • Grow Colliers’ institutional client portfolio and identify cross-service-line and cross-market opportunities
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing appraisers and other key professionals
  • Foster an engaged, collaborative, inclusive, and accountable workplace
  • Champion technology, data, systems, and innovative business practices to improve productivity, efficiency, report quality, and client experience
  • Monitor market, regulatory, and industry developments to identify new property types, specializations, and growth opportunities
  • Manage Canada-wide training, quality assurance, and risk management practices
  • Ensure consistent client deliverables and compliance with applicable professional standards, including CUSPAP
  • Build Colliers’ profile across Western Canada through relationships with clients, business leaders, industry partners, and local markets

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or a related discipline
  • Approximately 12 to 15 years of relevant experience, including a strong background in commercial real estate
  • AACI designation
  • Demonstrated success leading a valuation, advisory, or related professional services business
  • Experience with P&L responsibility
  • Proven ability to develop strategy, grow revenue, strengthen client relationships, and improve business performance
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities across client development and talent recruitment
  • Experience with quality assurance, appraisal review, risk management, and complex issue resolution
  • Knowledge of applicable professional and regulatory standards, including CUSPAP
  • Experience in market research, strategic planning, organizational change, and change leadership
  • Familiarity with valuation technology, property databases, and CRM platforms
  • Currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis
