About the role

  • Retirement Analyst supporting Owen & Associates, a Canadian employee-benefits and retirement advisory firm. Analyzing plans, investments, benchmarks, and client reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare retirement plan reports with support from the Retirement Practice Lead
  • Collect, validate, and analyze retirement plan data to identify insights, trends, and opportunities
  • Assist with CAP governance reviews, reporting, and related client deliverables
  • Conduct retirement plan benchmarking studies covering plan design, fees, investment options, and market practices
  • Research industry trends, investment markets, retirement plan developments, and legislative or regulatory updates
  • Analyze investment fund performance and prepare fund review materials
  • Support consultants with client presentations, meeting preparation, and follow-up materials
  • Complete ad hoc analysis and special projects
  • Maintain reporting templates, databases, benchmarking tools, and internal resources

Requirements

  • Experience in an analytical, research, reporting, or financial services role
  • Interest in retirement programs and investment concepts
  • Experience supporting clients or working in a consulting environment is considered an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, large datasets, data validation, and financial models
  • CEBS, RPA, CFA, CSC, or other relevant education or designation is considered an asset
  • Must successfully complete a background check
