• Act as an architect within the Orders Platform team and set technical direction for order modeling, storage, replication, and reconciliation
• Design and build event-sourced and replicated-state systems resilient to retries, network partitions, concurrent edits, and partial failure
• Partner with Product, Payments, Reporting, point-of-sale, and mobile engineering teams to ship reliable ordering flows end to end
• Review designs and code, mentor engineers, and build team fluency in distributed-systems patterns
• Improve observability, replay, and recovery to identify and resolve order-state problems quickly while minimizing costs
• Reduce bus-factor risk by sharing context and documenting the platform
• Own and evolve the core Orders Platform that takes, tracks, and settles restaurant orders reliably, including during internet outages
