About the role

  • Senior Account Executive selling Paddle’s Merchant of Record payments infrastructure to SaaS, AI, and app companies. Managing full-cycle enterprise sales and driving revenue growth in the Americas.

Responsibilities

  • Build pipeline from Business Development Representative and Marketing leads, plus self-sourced opportunities
  • Create a portion of self-generated pipeline opportunities
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualifying through demos and closing
  • Master Paddle’s product and articulate its value to CTOs, Heads of Product and CEOs
  • Work with management and Marketing, Product and Success teams to determine effective approaches for sales opportunities
  • Identify flaws in Paddle’s and competitors’ products to inform sales techniques and product roadmap
  • Participate in regular Account Executive sales training and continuous professional development
  • Mentor new Account Executives as they ramp
  • Convert qualified leads into Paddle customers and help achieve revenue targets

Requirements

  • Extensive closing experience in a software or SaaS business
  • Experience managing multi-threaded sales processes and enterprise deals
  • Experience with consultative, value-based selling
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota
  • Experience selling highly technical products/services
  • Experience liaising with prospective clients in person, over the phone and by email
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to solve complex challenges
  • Experience in payments or B2B SaaS preferred
  • Prior experience at a growth-stage internet/software company preferred
  • Experience selling to CTOs, Heads of Product, or technical founders preferred
  • Familiarity with e-commerce providers such as Stripe, Braintree, PayPal, Cleverbridge and subscription services such as Chargebee, Zuora and Recurly preferred
  • Ability to operate in an unstructured, self-starting environment
  • Ability to be based in Boston, MA
