About the role

  • Manufacturing Technician operating fractionation, filling, and packaging equipment for Grifols’ plasma-derived healthcare products. Maintaining cGMP compliance, batch records, inspections, and equipment cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and clean buffer preparation skids, centrifuges, fractionation skids, filter presses, TFF skids and columns, chromatography skids, filtration skids, filling lines within an isolator, and automatic packaging lines
  • Set up and operate CIP/SIP skids, autoclaves, and parts washers
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot packaging equipment
  • Operate label-verification vision systems, vial labelers, vial cartoners, shrink-banding machines, and related final-container labeling equipment
  • Conduct periodic challenges for packaging systems
  • Inspect packaged and pre-packaged products for defects through manual and semi-automatic visual inspection
  • Accurately count products before and after packaging
  • Execute manufacturing batch records in designated areas
  • Immediately escalate issues potentially impacting cGMP or manufacturing processes to the responsible manager
  • Participate in sampling, process and cleaning validation, environmental monitoring, clean utilities, in-process testing, weighing, calibration, and equipment maintenance
  • Write and implement GMP documents, including SOPs and batch records, using the change control system
  • Maintain records and data according to GDPs
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning according to applicable SOPs
  • Maintain and replenish manufacturing supplies

Requirements

  • High school diploma or CEGEP/College diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology
  • Preferred 1-year experience within the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, healthcare industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull at least 15kg and wear PPE as required
  • Some tasks will involve working in a refrigerated environment
  • Experience in clean room operation preferred
  • Bilingualism (French and English) both spoken and written
  • English required for documentation, reports, and interactions with Health Canada, FDA, and multidisciplinary departments based outside Quebec and Canada
  • For manufacturing technicians performing visual inspection as a qualified person: eyesight exam including color blindness testing
