Responsibilities
Serve as the technical lead during the design phase and primary contact for technical inquiries during construction and commissioning.
Manage engineering scope, schedule, and budget in alignment with overall project goals.
Coordinate and provide technical oversight for work carried out with external consultants; serve as engineering leader on work executed using internal resources.
Engage with stakeholders across departments and site teams to align project objectives and expectations.
Coordinate and lead design reviews with site personnel and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and feasibility.
Lead and support engineers and designers across disciplines to produce project deliverables.
Support procurement activities including tender document preparation, proposal evaluation, and post-award technical guidance.
Contribute to planning and funding requests with detailed engineering estimates and material takeoffs.
Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting on engineering activities.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Process, or related Engineering discipline.
Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) registered with APEGS.
4-9 years of engineering experience, preferably in industrial or mining environments.
Proven experience managing engineering components of capital projects in a project-based environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in engineering design and project management (an asset).
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and locations.
WHMIS certification.
Preference for candidates located in or near Saskatoon, able to work in-office at least 2 days per week .
