About the role

  • Project Engineer responsible for full project lifecycle management in industrial water treatment and ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery. Collaborating with internal teams and clients on technical specifications and coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-construction support including bid proposals, preparing cost estimation, and technical clarifications.
  • Develop detailed scopes of work, material takeoffs, resource allocation plans, and construction schedules.
  • Review customer specifications and ensure compliance with technical requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Contribute to sales proposals by providing technical input and project insights.
  • Coordinate all phases of project execution including design, procurement, scheduling subcontractors, vendors and field teams.
  • Track labour, materials, equipment usage, and project costs to ensure adherence to budget and schedule.
  • Prepare and manage documentation such as sales orders, purchase orders, job BOMs, invoice summaries, and project records.
  • Monitor progress, report updates, identify risks, and implement solutions to maintain project timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure alignment, timely material delivery, and overall project success.
  • Support field crews with technical guidance and assist with on-site coordination as needed.
  • Conduct site inspections and support system commissioning to verify compliance with design specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental regulations, and building codes throughout project execution.
  • Provide technical support to customers and our field teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering Discipline is required.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in the applicable province or the eligibility to obtain license is preferred but not essential.
  • 3+ years of experience in project engineering, coordination, or construction project management.
  • Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of construction methods.
  • Strong willingness to become an expert in cooling tower technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost estimating, scheduling and cost control.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with MS Project and CRM/ERP systems is a plus.
  • Experience with CAD tools and design software is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training is a plus.
