About the role

  • Engineer in asset management for municipalities, planning and optimizing infrastructure investments. Collaborate on intervention plans and provide technical support for municipal assets.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Director of the Infrastructure and Climate Change Adaptation division at the FQM, you will plan, organize and oversee various activities related to municipal asset management
  • Develop, structure and produce intervention plans and strategic planning tools to support the prioritization and optimization of municipal investments
  • Prepare and update intervention plans for sewer, water supply and road networks, including Local Road Infrastructure Intervention Plans (PIIRL)
  • Develop water infrastructure asset management plans (PGA-eau)
  • Coordinate and carry out all activities related to updating databases and ensure their quality
  • Prepare capital planning/programming for municipal infrastructure
  • Plan and manage tenders and procurement processes related to asset management
  • Other duties related to the role and your area of expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, water engineering, construction engineering or building engineering
  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (an asset)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in asset management
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Team player
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Results-oriented, with a focus on customer service and maintaining service quality
