About the role
- Engineer in asset management for municipalities, planning and optimizing infrastructure investments. Collaborate on intervention plans and provide technical support for municipal assets.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Director of the Infrastructure and Climate Change Adaptation division at the FQM, you will plan, organize and oversee various activities related to municipal asset management
- Develop, structure and produce intervention plans and strategic planning tools to support the prioritization and optimization of municipal investments
- Prepare and update intervention plans for sewer, water supply and road networks, including Local Road Infrastructure Intervention Plans (PIIRL)
- Develop water infrastructure asset management plans (PGA-eau)
- Coordinate and carry out all activities related to updating databases and ensure their quality
- Prepare capital planning/programming for municipal infrastructure
- Plan and manage tenders and procurement processes related to asset management
- Other duties related to the role and your area of expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, water engineering, construction engineering or building engineering
- Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (an asset)
- Minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in asset management
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Team player
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Results-oriented, with a focus on customer service and maintaining service quality
