About the role

  • Recruiter managing high-volume skilled-trades and professional hiring for Primoris, a utility and energy infrastructure contractor. Sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and coordinating workforce mobilization across projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage high-volume recruitment efforts for skilled trades and professional roles across the organization
  • Execute end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding candidates
  • Adhere to established recruitment processes, policies, and compliance requirements
  • Conduct outbound calls to applicants to assess qualifications, availability, and interest
  • Screen resumes and conduct interviews to evaluate skills, experience, and cultural fit
  • Make hiring recommendations and extend verbal and written offers to selected candidates
  • Communicate job details, scope of work, schedules, project expectations, and conditions of employment
  • Maintain candidate records, notes, and correspondence in the applicant tracking system
  • Update applicant and candidate information in internal databases
  • Track open requisitions and applicant pipelines using spreadsheets and reporting tools
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements, travel, accommodations, and project mobilization
  • Support recruitment marketing, job postings, advertising, and outreach initiatives
  • Represent the company at career fairs and recruitment events
  • Partner with hiring managers and project teams to meet workforce demands
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support recruitment and workforce objectives

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of recruitment experience, preferably in industrial construction, oil & gas, or skilled trades environments
  • Proven experience managing high-volume or project-based hiring
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with talent management programs such as Workday, UKG, or ICIMS
  • Strong written communication skills, including drafting job postings, offer letters, and recruitment correspondence
  • Understanding of employment legislation, compliance, and confidentiality requirements
  • Ability to assess, evaluate, and select talent efficiently
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • RPR designation or HR-related education considered an asset
