About the role

  • Customer Support Specialist handling payroll inquiries for Push, an all-in-one HR, payroll, time-tracking, and scheduling platform. Managing high-volume support while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Handle high-volume inbound requests by phone and email
  • Manage approximately 200–400 monthly support tickets while maintaining SLA performance and CSAT
  • Answer payroll questions, provide guidance, and proactively solve customer challenges
  • Follow guidelines, SOPs, and verification standards for secure handling of confidential payroll information
  • Collaborate with Internal Support and other departments on payroll and accounting queries
  • Review account setup within Push and support workflows involving government agencies
  • Use documented processes and escalation paths when needed
  • Create and update knowledge-base articles and self-serve resources
  • Meet or exceed quarterly quality, productivity, SLA, and CSAT targets
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve payroll-rule knowledge and documentation
  • Balance speed and accuracy in a high-volume customer support environment
  • Monitor legislative updates and apply multi-province payroll compliance knowledge

Requirements

  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting
  • Strong understanding of Canadian payroll rules and legislation
  • Basic accounting principles
  • PCP or CPM designation from the Canadian Payroll Association certification (preferred)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with software and adopting new technologies
  • Solution-oriented approach
  • Ethical and professional handling of confidential information
  • Active listening and ability to understand customer needs
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Genuine passion for customer support
  • Open-mindedness and willingness to ask for help
