About the role

  • Full Stack Engineer building React, React Native, PHP, and Node.js features for Push Operations’ workforce-management platform. Developing scalable web, mobile, and backend systems for businesses across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack features using multiple languages and technologies
  • Develop React and React Native web and mobile applications
  • Build and maintain PHP-based backend systems, Node.js services, RESTful APIs, and microservices
  • Design database schemas, integrations, and optimizations
  • Contribute to incremental modernization of existing systems
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues while balancing new feature delivery
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and AI teams to deliver user-friendly solutions
  • Ensure high performance, security, and scalability across systems
  • Build mobile experiences with React Native or related cross-platform technology
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize web, mobile, and backend performance
  • Stay current with tools, frameworks, and full-stack and mobile development best practices

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer
  • Hands-on individual contributor focused on execution rather than architecture ownership
  • Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks including React, React Native, and Node.js
  • Proficiency with PHP or related backend frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and SQL/NoSQL database systems
  • Experience integrating frontends and mobile apps with back-end APIs
  • Familiarity with app store deployments and push notifications
  • Solid grasp of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is an asset
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Passion for solving real-world problems with technology
  • Proficiency with modern AI-driven tools such as Claude Code
  • Experience with mobile analytics tools such as Firebase, LogRocket, or Mixpanel is a bonus
  • Familiarity with workforce management, HR compliance, or payroll systems is a bonus
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards for web and mobile is a bonus
