About the role
- Casual Field & Infusion Nurse (RN) at Cencora administering medications and monitoring infusion treatments. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and providing patient education in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications in the patient's home (home care), specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings
- Assess monitor pre and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols
- Complete necessary documentation based on policies and procedures, and as directed by the College of Nurses, and Innomar ISO accreditation standards of practice
- Provide patient / Caregivers education based on product monographs and program protocols, individually or in groups
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures
- Provide reliable availability based on the agreed upon employment agreement to meet the needs of the IBU and the Nursing and clinics Key Performance Indicators
- Communicate and work effectively amongst multi-disciplinary teams to meet established timelines
- Participate regularly in team web-based meetings/training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE and Nurse Champion
- Adhere to professional nursing standards prescribed by the professional associations and Innomar
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary health care team providing oversight and delegation of applicable tasks to LPNs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field, or equivalent experience required
- Master's degree in nursing or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
- 6+ years of clinical nursing experience in home infusion, specialty clinics, patient support, reimbursement coordination, or related field required
- Registered Nurse (RN) license or equivalent certification required
- Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office productivity tools
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written formats
- Ability to organize work and maintain attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Ability to analyze information and apply problem-solving skills
- Ability to present information clearly to varied audiences
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader team
- Ability to build effective interpersonal working relationships
