About the role

  • Account Executive growing accounting and bookkeeping partnerships for Relay’s digital banking platform. Driving consultative sales, referrals, activation, and channel expansion across North American SMBs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle for new Accounting & Bookkeeping partnerships from discovery through signed pilot agreement
  • Run consultative discovery with firm owners and partners
  • Position Relay's digital banking platform against accounting and bookkeeping firms' operational problems
  • Build mutual action plans to generate first client referrals and drive early activation
  • Enable firms to introduce and onboard Relay to their clients
  • Prospect target firms using account-based research and outbound activity, with BDR support
  • Hand off engaged and activated partners to Account Management
  • Develop expertise in Relay's product and the accounting ecosystem, including QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Gusto
  • Improve the Accounting & Bookkeeping channel playbook
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development, Marketing, Risk, Customer Experience, Revenue Operations, and Sales Enablement
  • Mentor or coach junior team members

Requirements

  • 2+ years of full sales cycle experience
  • Experience ideally in fintech or selling to SMBs, accountants, or bookkeepers
  • Consultative, discovery-led, value-based selling approach
  • Experience with longer, multi-threaded partnership sales
  • Strategic account-based prospecting and outbound pipeline generation experience
  • Willingness to travel to conferences and firm visits
  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and ZoomInfo
  • Active use of AI to improve prospecting efficiency, personalize outreach, and improve sales effectiveness
  • Strong interpersonal skills, growth mindset, and adaptability
  • Experience with fintech, accounting software, or a neobank is a bonus
  • Experience selling through a channel, partner, or referral motion is a bonus
  • Experience working with SMBs in North America is a bonus
  • Spanish proficiency is a bonus
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Successful background check and employment verification through Certn required for employment
  • Able to join the Toronto office three days a week (Tues/Weds/Thurs)
