About the role
- Team Lead building Remarcable’s B2B SaaS platform for electrical procurement, logistics, and supply chains. Balancing Python/Django engineering with agile pod leadership and developer mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Guide a focused, high-performing agile pod of software developers
- Serve as a key technical contributor to the core Django-based platform
- Write, review, and maintain clean, performant, and secure Python and Django production code
- Lead sprint ceremonies, including planning, grooming, and daily standups
- Guide developers through constructive code reviews, technical design sessions, and continuous mentorship
- Partner with Product Managers to align technical specifications with the product roadmap
- Translate product roadmaps into structured technical requirements and Jira tickets
- Drive daily agile operations and pragmatic unblocking
- Take ownership of sprint cycles, daily standups, and code reviews
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in a fast-paced B2B SaaS or product environment
- Extensive production experience with Python, Django, REST APIs, and relational databases (hard requirement)
- Pragmatic leadership skills and ability to unblock operations and help developers grow
- Product-minded logic and ability to make practical trade-offs between architectural perfection and shipping speed
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Ability to work in-office in the Vancouver area or willingness to relocate to the Vancouver area at own expense
