About the role
- Senior Principal Engineer leading AI-native software architecture and delivery at Revvity, a health-technology solutions provider. Mentoring engineers and driving scalable production systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of high-impact software systems
- Partner with cross-functional teams to turn complex requirements into reliable, scalable solutions
- Orchestrate AI-native solution development from requirements through implementation and deployment
- Lead architecture and technical design for complex, large-scale software components and services
- Guide engineering teams through technical decisions, tradeoffs, and delivery planning
- Deliver high-quality code and ensure maintainability through design reviews, testing standards, and operational readiness
- Mentor and coach engineers, sharing best practices and strengthening engineering execution
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing and building production software systems
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
- Deep proficiency in at least one modern programming language
- Ability to design well-structured, testable software
- Experience with system design, APIs, monitoring, reliability, and performance tuning
- Ability to orchestrate complete solutions using an AI-native approach
- Experience leading technical initiatives end-to-end, from requirements through deployment and iteration
- Strong background in cloud-based development and scalable service architecture
- Track record mentoring engineers and influencing best practices through reviews, documentation, and technical guidance
