About the role

  • Quality auditor and project manager improving Pratt & Whitney Canada aircraft-engine facilities in Lethbridge and Mississauga. Leading audits, corrective actions, and cross-facility quality projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal audits of the engine center quality management system (QMS)
  • Develop risk-based audit plans covering QMS elements, processes, and sites
  • Conduct process and product audits to evaluate compliance, effectiveness, and improvement opportunities
  • Support and coordinate external audits
  • Plan, execute, and close audits independently
  • Ensure audit findings are accurate, objective, and evidence-based
  • Evaluate root causes and corrective-action effectiveness and verify closure
  • Mentor and develop new auditors
  • Analyze quality performance data and trends to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities
  • Prepare audit reports and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of aerospace requirements, regulations, and best practices
  • Direct projects involving multiple engine center facilities within the P&WC EC Network using CORE methods
  • Ensure delivery of quality products on time and on budget throughout the project life cycle
  • Benchmark P&WC Engine Centers and translate best practices into facility-wide standardizations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and manage project resources and timelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or Business, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in quality systems, auditing, manufacturing, or a related technical environment
  • Experience conducting quality system and process audits
  • Experience with root-cause analysis, corrective action, and problem-solving methodologies
  • Experience interpreting and applying quality standards, procedures, and regulatory/customer requirements
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 requirements
  • Experience in aeronautics or in manufacturing/assembly
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and applicable controlled-goods clearances
  • Ability to work on-site and travel between the Lethbridge and Mississauga plants
