Intern supporting Pratt & Whitney Canada’s HEP and NSE propulsion program management. Tracking prototypes, tests, analyses, drawings, finances, and daily sub-projects.
Responsibilities
Support the HEP and NSE teams, as well as the Program Management team
Track prototype machining activities to support engine testing
Procure prototype parts
Update financial tools
Track the progress of drawing sign-offs
Track the progress of test plans in the test cell
Monitor multiple sub-projects on a daily basis
Review instrumentation changes required for data acquisition
Perform structural, fluid, or durability analyses of engine components
Assist colleagues and team members
Contribute to the mission of initiating flight testing
Requirements
Be eligible to work in Canada
Be a third- or fourth-year undergraduate student or a master’s student
Be enrolled at a Canadian university throughout the internship
Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired
Have strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
Possess functional English proficiency to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings, and technical terminology, and to write and communicate with international customers, suppliers, or colleagues
Successfully pass a criminal background check
Obtain the necessary authorizations to handle and transfer controlled goods
Have project management skills
Be organized and able to work under pressure while managing competing and changing priorities
Be able to work independently
