Senior Accountant managing GL, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and close processes for EverCommerce’s global SaaS service - commerce platform. Remote anywhere in Canada.
About the role
- Intermediate Accountant responsible for preparing financial statements and general ledger analysis at Running Room. Collaborating with accounting teams in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- prepare and analyze general ledger accounts including balance sheets, income statements, and account reconciliations
- participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and financial reporting
- assist in the preparation of financial statements and working papers for external accountants
- ensure compliance with Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in financial data
- contribute to financial analysis including variance analysis
- collaborate with team members and operational departments to resolve accounting-related issues
- identify opportunities to improve financial processes and support operational efficiency
- other related duties as required
Requirements
- demonstrated proficiency in full-cycle accounting, with increasing levels of responsibility over time
- strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
- experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar accounting software is an asset
- willingness to work evenings or weekends as required by deadlines
