About the role

  • Sales Executive selling SailPoint’s Identity Security solutions to Canada’s federal government. Owning territory strategy, partner collaboration, pipeline development, and the full enterprise sales cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Sell SailPoint’s Identity Security Solution to the Canadian Federal Government
  • Exceed quarterly and yearly revenue quota goals
  • Address customer and partner inquiries with accurate, tailored solutions
  • Develop business plans aligned to the assigned territory
  • Strategically engage customers and partners to maintain high customer service
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute partner and end-user marketing plans
  • Pursue supplied leads and update internal systems
  • Lead technical resources in demonstrating SailPoint’s advantages
  • Follow up with customers and partner with post-sale teams to ensure ongoing account coverage and identify new sales opportunities
  • Own the full sales cycle, including qualification, presentations, demonstrations, RFP responses, negotiations, and closing
  • Develop deep territory knowledge covering customers, prospects, partners, influencers, and competitors
  • Communicate competitive product and technology strategies
  • Manage discussions across business and technical stakeholders
  • Use channel management and reporting tools, including accurate forecasting and Salesforce hygiene
  • Establish customer opportunity and account plans, segment top accounts, and develop territory, channel, and marketing plans
  • Build and manage pipeline, forecasts, stakeholder maps, relationship maps, and operating cadences
  • Meet customers and identify opportunities to extend SailPoint’s value
  • Present territory, account, opportunity, value proposition, and go-to-market plans to management
  • Achieve SailPoint enablement badges

Requirements

  • Skilled communicator in first engagements and discovery calls, analyzing prospects’ needs to qualify opportunities
  • Highly proficient in understanding and presenting the value of SailPoint solutions and comparing them with Microsoft, Okta, and Saviynt
  • Ability to provide superior customer experience and competitively position solutions and partner services
  • Ability to lead a virtual team of partner resources, presales, partner manager, deal desk, professional services, BVA team, and customer success
  • Ability to act as the quarterback, take initiative, prepare the team, and ensure accountability
  • Ability to create territory and opportunity plans
  • Ability to work closely with leadership to refine sales strategies
  • Preferred but not required: Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in an IT, business, or sales-related field
  • Approximately 50% business travel yearly expected
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Clari
  • Ability to complete SailPoint enablement badges on HighSpot
