About the role

  • Inventory Coordinator managing inventory, forecasting, and stock optimization for Sandvik Mining equipment. Supporting planners, mine-site operations, and regional initiatives from Saskatoon or Surrey.

Responsibilities

  • Manage stock, goods in transit, production stock, and obsolescence reserves in assigned stockrooms
  • Analyze and maintain inventory parameter settings for standard assortments, including consignment stock levels
  • Manage strategic stock in assigned stockrooms
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on inventory-control improvement activities
  • Analyze and drive regular stock-optimization initiatives, including the returns process
  • Participate in and support regional/global initiatives and projects as needed
  • Support inventory counts for consignment and warehouses to comply with internal controls
  • Maintain healthy net working capital through inventory planning and maintenance while supporting customers’ active fleets
  • Support Demand Planners with fleet forecasting and inventory-management data
  • Collaborate with Demand Planners and PSSRs to ensure fleet data is accurately reflected in stock forecasting
  • Analyze, provide feedback, and develop solutions to improve operation of Sandvik Mining equipment models at mine sites
  • Assist with targeted inventory planning for new incoming equipment in local stockrooms or selected hubs

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Project management or Logistics
  • Inventory management experience
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of heavy-duty mining equipment considered an asset
  • Strong computer systems literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills contributing to teamwork
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team
  • In-depth understanding of customer business processes
  • Highly developed time management and organizational skills
  • High level of initiative, drive, and determination to achieve customer satisfaction goals and targets
