About the role

  • Manager leading 24/7 digital user support for Nova Scotia government and healthcare services. Managing teams, service operations, KPIs, and digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of partner-focused employees delivering high-quality, secure digital services to IWK, Nova Scotia Health, and Government partners
  • Ensure the team meets service objectives
  • Ensure operational processes are followed for incident management, service request fulfillment, configuration change management, asset management, and problem management
  • Promote a culture of trust, teamwork, and psychological safety
  • Build collaborative relationships with Government and Healthcare stakeholders and identify opportunities to innovate
  • Maintain focus on delivery priorities, accountability, and changing user needs
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to promote digital ways of working and provide strategic direction for digital transformation
  • Keep people informed and engaged through open working and user stories
  • Set measurable team goals and report metrics to demonstrate progress and achievement
  • Lead or contribute to standardization, rationalization, functional improvement, and business process improvement initiatives
  • Communicate with partners about service requirements, service fit, service quality, issue resolution, and service access processes

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience managing partner-focused teams and fostering a positive team culture
  • Experience motivating teams to provide excellent service and building relationships with partners
  • Experience coaching and mentoring staff on new processes and technologies
  • Experience developing and enforcing SOPs
  • Experience monitoring and managing service levels
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Experience identifying and implementing improvement opportunities
  • Experience making decisions in the development and ongoing management of high-quality digital support services
  • Experience leading continual service improvement initiatives using internet-era practices and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience working in a healthcare or public sector environment
  • Experience in cloud-based environments supporting large, mission-critical 24x7x365 environments
  • Knowledge of project management methodology, ITIL processes, and IT and security policies and procedures
  • Experience establishing KPIs, monitoring results and trends, and using them to drive continual service improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing business priorities
  • Successful completion of applicable background checks and credential confirmation
