About the role
- Senior IT Engineer owning secure internal IT, endpoints, identity, and SOC 2 controls for Schema App’s enterprise marketing technology SaaS. Delivering automation, AI/MCP, and DevOps projects.
Responsibilities
- Own Schema App’s internal IT function
- Manage identity and access, endpoints, Microsoft 365 / Entra, MDM/Intune, patching, device lifecycle, and employee onboarding/offboarding
- Manage company hardware throughout its lifecycle
- Regularly administer on-site IT services at the Guelph office
- Maintain IT-owned SOC 2 controls, including Vanta evidence, access reviews, device compliance, and required testing
- Deliver Engineering-prioritized projects across internal IT, automation, AI/MCP, and DevOps
- Maintain IT runbooks
- Continuously improve the security, reliability, and efficiency of internal systems
- Diagnose problems to root cause and follow through to resolution
- Meet defined IT service, device compliance, SOC 2, and project delivery metrics
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 / Entra
- Hands-on experience with MDM/Intune
- Experience with identity and access administration
- Experience with device lifecycle management
- Understanding of SOC 2 / Vanta-style controls
- Ability to independently maintain IT-owned compliance requirements
- Experience scoping and delivering technical projects
- Experience with automation, scripting, AI, and DevOps practices
- Ability to regularly work from the Guelph, Ontario office
- Ability to own and administer internal IT operations, endpoints, identity, access, and infrastructure
