About the role

  • Growth Product Manager owning conversion, experimentation, pricing, and retention for ScholarshipOwl’s AI-powered scholarship marketplace. Leading product experiments that help students discover scholarships and improve subscription revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end conversion engine from landing page registration through paywall conversion and subscription retention
  • Build, prioritize, and maintain a high-tempo experimentation backlog using frameworks such as ICE or RICE
  • Monitor funnel and retention metrics daily in Mixpanel
  • Identify user drop-off points and conduct deep-dive discovery to understand causes
  • Write precise product specifications and acceptance criteria for engineering and design
  • Design and run pricing, paywall, and offer optimization tests
  • Evaluate growth levers including organic loops, landing page personalization, and winback programs
  • Lead a dedicated pod of engineers and designers
  • Coordinate with dashboard and B2B teams on unified sprint priorities
  • Conduct customer discovery interviews with Gen-Z users

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, specifically in a growth-focused role
  • Proven experience designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests with measurable KPI improvements
  • Experience with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel or Amplitude
  • Understanding of SaaS and subscription models, including trial-to-paid transitions, renewal cycles, and friction-point reduction
  • Ability to write clear, development-ready product specifications and acceptance criteria
  • Understanding of technical trade-offs and MVP scoping
  • Mentoring and knowledge-sharing mindset
  • Intuition for or experience with B2C products targeting younger audiences
  • Comfort with ambiguity, fast-moving environments, and experimentation failure
  • Experience with payment platforms such as Stripe or Braintree is a bonus
  • Experience with Figma or prototyping tools is a bonus
  • Knowledge of lifecycle/email marketing, SEO, and paid acquisition channels is a bonus
  • Growth-focused certification such as Reforge is a bonus
  • Background in EdTech or student-facing products is a bonus
