About the role

VP of Security overseeing Serve's security strategy for autonomous delivery. Leading initiatives and developing security practices in a high-growth tech environment.

Responsibilities

Lead Serve’s security strategy across corporate security, platform security, product and robot security.
Own the security roadmap and drive progress on initiatives.
Partner closely with IT, Engineering, Product, and Platform teams.
Advance GRC maturity, including security policies and monitoring.
Build and mature incident response capabilities.
Develop and maintain security practices that support operations.
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing security organization.
Translate complex security risks into clear business decisions and actionable guidance.
Establish metrics, dashboards, and reporting cadences.
Evaluate and improve security tooling and operational processes.
Support executive leadership and board-level reporting.

10+ years of progressive security experience, including leadership of security teams in high-growth technology companies.
Experience as a senior security leader in a startup or scale-up environment.
Strong technical depth across enterprise security, cloud security, endpoint security, identity and access management.
Experience with governance, risk, and compliance programs.
Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Engineering and Product teams.
Experience building and maturing incident response programs, escalation procedures, operational security controls.
Strong understanding of modern identity, access, monitoring, and endpoint ecosystems.
Ability to prioritize effectively and make pragmatic risk decisions.
Excellent communication skills and collaborative leadership style.
