About the role
- Full-Stack Developer building high-performance Adobe EDS web experiences for Fortune 500 and emerging brands. Delivering composable sites, integrations, and client-facing technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, edge-rendered websites and web applications using Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS)
- Develop reusable, semantic, high-performance blocks and components in native JavaScript, HTML5, and modern CSS3
- Serve as a secondary owner and backup for existing EDS-based digital properties
- Ensure coverage, continuity, and shared architectural decision-making with the current developer
- Scaffold and configure new EDS projects on the AEM boilerplate
- Manage .hlx project configuration, routing/rewrites, and config.yaml
- Tune eager, lazy, and delayed loading phases and programmatic auto-blocking to achieve elite Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse scores
- Configure and optimize document-based authoring workflows using Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Document Authoring
- Manage Git-first deployment workflows using GitHub and GitHub Actions
- Work with CDN/edge configuration such as Fastly and Cloudflare, including caching and TTL strategy
- Serve as a client-facing technical resource
- Translate client requirements into working solutions and explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
- Integrate EDS-delivered pages with AEM Assets, headless APIs, and CRM/MarTech systems as required
- Leverage AI/agentic coding tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor for task decomposition, code generation, and review
- Participate in technical discovery, estimation, and solutioning conversations with clients during kickoff and delivery as needed
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
- Contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional full-stack development experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building, testing, and launching live production websites on Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS), or a strong AEM background with demonstrated fast ramp-up on EDS
- Expert-level native/vanilla JavaScript (ES6+)
- Semantic HTML5
- Modern CSS3, including custom properties and Grid/Flexbox
- Sound judgment about when a heavier framework such as React, Angular, or Vue is appropriate for EDS-based pages
- Proven track record optimizing Core Web Vitals: Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Interaction to Next Paint (INP), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)
- Lighthouse performance optimization experience
- Working proficiency in React and Next.js
- Mastery of Git/GitHub workflows, including branching, pull requests, code review, and CI automation such as GitHub Actions
- Experience with DevOps practices and tooling, including CI/CD pipeline design, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, or cloud deployment beyond basic GitHub Actions usage
- Experience with document-based authoring and document-to-HTML content workflows
- Back-end development and API/integration experience with REST, GraphQL, or similar
- Proven experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders in a client-facing capacity
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments with shifting priorities and evolving requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Professional maturity to operate as a long-term, trusted team member
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables with limited day-to-day direction
- Current US or Canada work authorization
- Preferred: Experience migrating legacy AEM Sites (HTL/Sightly, OSGi, Sling Models) to modern EDS architecture
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with agentic AI development workflows
- Preferred: Experience with .NET/C# for back-end services or API development
- Preferred: Experience with edge/CDN configuration such as Fastly or Cloudflare, including caching strategy and ESI
- Preferred: Experience with broader Adobe Experience Cloud, including Adobe Target, Adobe Launch/Web SDK, and AEM Assets
- Preferred: Digital agency or consulting experience supporting multiple concurrent client engagements
- Preferred: SEO fundamentals, Open Graph/schema configuration, and edge-side analytics implementation
