About the role

  • Lead Product Designer shaping enterprise healthcare AI management software at Signal 1. Designing complex workflows, scalable systems, and intuitive experiences for health-system customers.

Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand customer needs and pain points
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, customer success, and data science from problem definition through delivery
  • Prototype and think through broad user flows for new features
  • Generate high-fidelity designs that deliver elegant, intuitive, and delightful experiences
  • Create and maintain a scalable design system enabling rapid shipping
  • Present design ideas to internal stakeholders and customers
  • Guide users through complex workflows
  • Walk through a project demonstrating design decisions and effectiveness during the application process

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a lead, senior, or only product designer in B2B enterprise SaaS startups
  • Demonstrated history designing niche and/or technically complex products
  • Deep understanding of users’ needs and sufficient understanding of technology to make sound design decisions and trade-offs
  • High agency and resourcefulness to obtain needed information and make decisions
  • Strong design intuition to make good, fast calls when information is incomplete
  • Clarity, succinctness, and precision in design and communication
  • Visual, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present design ideas to internal stakeholders and customers clearly, invite meaningful feedback, and build alignment
  • Ability to guide users through complex workflows intuitively and elegantly
  • Fast, organized, AI-native way of working
  • Daily use of AI tools to accelerate the product design process without sacrificing quality
  • High bar for design craft and attention to detail
  • Resume and walkthrough of a project involving a complex workflow or difficult design problem required for application
  • Ability to work in person 2–3 days a week in Yorkville, Toronto
