About the role

  • Loans accounting analyst supporting institutional investors’ North American fixed-income portfolios at global asset manager. Managing reporting, controls, reconciliations and Tableau dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Support accounting, valuation and operational requirements for North American Private Fixed Income portfolios
  • Perform accounting and reporting of loan assets for institutional investors
  • Create daily movement files including accrued interest calculations
  • Produce daily and monthly fund trial balances
  • Perform complex control checks, including loan price trending, valuation/trial balance analysis and reconciliations
  • Complete monthly and quarterly financial reporting and ad hoc requests
  • Act as Data Owner by investigating data held across multiple systems
  • Communicate with functions across SLC groups to improve data elements
  • Design and create Tableau dashboards for monthly reporting, trending analysis and key KPIs
  • Maintain and enhance a strong internal control environment
  • Develop efficient processes and mentor team members

Requirements

  • Working towards CPA or CFA designation
  • 1–2 years of accounting/finance experience
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
  • General understanding of fixed income assets
  • Flexibility to work 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM despite a 7.5-hour standard workday
  • Availability to perform operations functions during US and Canadian holidays
  • Certain days around month-end, quarter-end and year-end may not be eligible for vacation
  • Required to declare personal investment accounts and securities investments
  • Required to seek preclearance for future transactions, including those of household members
