About the role
- Product Engineer owning complex production features for Social Discovery Group’s global social discovery platforms. Delegating development to AI agents while ensuring reliable financial transaction code.
Responsibilities
- Own product features end-to-end, from a one-line problem statement through production
- Contact external partners and providers to obtain sandbox access and documentation and agree on integration details
- Write product and technical specifications with AI agents and take responsibility for every line
- Delegate development to AI agents and critically review and accept their output in a large codebase with complex components and integrations
- Test delivered features and ensure the reliability of code handling financial transactions
- Contribute as an equal team member to the evolution of the AI-first development process
Requirements
- Senior-level engineering background
- Experience owning a complex production system end-to-end, including architecture, reliability, deployment, and integrations
- Backend engineering or software architecture experience
- Experience using AI agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar as a primary daily development tool
- Habit of keeping up with the evolution of agentic development
- Strong ownership and entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to independently identify required work and drive tasks to completion without detailed specifications
- Ability to critically review AI-generated work, identify errors, and select the best solution
- Hands-on product work as an individual contributor
- This role does not involve managing a team
