About the role

  • R&D Project Manager leading multidisciplinary development of mission-critical datacenter electrical equipment for Socomec. Managing schedules, risks, deliverables, and cross-functional project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects using financial data, scheduling, risk management, project prioritization, and Quality, Cost, and Time objectives
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams across project work packages, including technical, services, industrialization, commercial launches, qualification/certification, and documentation
  • Structure projects using WBS, work packages, and assigned responsibilities
  • Maintain current project information and ensure schedules are reliable, resourced, baselined, and monitored using corporate tools
  • Monitor deliverable availability and maturity for milestone completion
  • Enforce project management rules established in project plans
  • Resolve priority, resource, and decision conflicts with stakeholders
  • Participate in project and business reviews to drive process improvement
  • Maintain accurate project indicators and status reporting
  • Escalate issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Communicate and present project progress to stakeholders at different organizational levels
  • Propose project-management efficiency improvements based on feedback and lessons learned
  • Manage development through closure of projects involving STSs, PDUs, RPPs, transformers, and UPS systems for datacenters

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
  • 5+ years in electrical equipment engineering project management
  • PMP certification strongly preferred
  • Proven experience structuring, recovering, and delivering complex projects
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Project Online, including server configuration, shared resources, baselines, and auditing
  • Mastery of change control and risk management practices
  • Strong competency in scope definition, WBS, and critical path analysis
  • Familiarity with ERP (Syspro) and Power BI for decision support preferred
  • Strong facilitation and executive communication skills
  • Ability to drive accountability and discipline across cross-functional teams
  • Solid understanding of electrical equipment
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams across multiple sites
