About the role
- Senior project engineer leading aerospace research and technology initiatives at SOGECLAIR. Managing aircraft development projects, schedules, budgets, risks, and change governance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of R&T initiatives
- Define project objectives, scope of work, and deliverables for technology maturation and/or aircraft development
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules, critical paths, risk management plans, and cost tracking
- Ensure medium-complexity projects are delivered within budget
- Explain variances and lead corrective actions
- Collaborate with the engineering community, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders
- Lead change management activities
- Provide management with clear visibility and reporting on project status, risks, and strategic decisions
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes within the R&T team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 8 to 10 years of experience in the aerospace industry
- Experience in engineering project management is an asset
- Strong schedule management skills
- Cost and budget management skills
- Scope definition and change governance skills
- Good understanding of technology maturation and conceptual design phases
- Comfortable working in an uncertain environment with an evolving scope of work
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, enthusiastic, and possessing a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor messages to the audience
- Ability to foster harmonious and cohesive teamwork
- Proficiency with project management tools, including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Teamcenter
