About the role
- Data specialist optimizing manufacturing processes for aerospace industry. Collaborating across departments to enhance efficiency while ensuring data governance and quality.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with all manufacturing departments.
- Contribute to process optimization to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure access to the data required for process control and verify its quality.
- Play a role in enterprise-wide data governance.
- Define and document standard manufacturing execution processes.
- Participate in improvement initiatives using structured methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, problem solving).
- Act as a 'data steward' for data governance.
- Collaborate with Data and IT teams to validate data.
- Help support data literacy across the manufacturing group.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Two to five years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL programming.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data management models.
- Demonstrated experience in process standardization and optimization.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines independently.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Good leadership skills and a strong team spirit.
- Experience working with ERP/MES systems from a business-user perspective.
- Experience with data documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview).
- Knowledge of Lean principles (Six Sigma certification).
- Knowledge of Power BI and Power Automate.
- Experience with data and code, including scripting (Python/Java/SQL/VBA), and with Microsoft cloud services: Azure, Databricks, Fabric, etc.
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
