About the role

  • Lead Software Developer evaluating technologies, leading projects, and building custom software solutions at Spiria. Mentoring developers and improving software quality, architecture, and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and select technology options for projects
  • Participate in effort evaluation, problem-solving, and solution quality assurance
  • Review development team code
  • Transfer knowledge through functional coaching and mentoring of less experienced employees
  • Serve as a front-line consultant to clients
  • Participate actively in developing digital solutions
  • Improve the efficiency and quality of development processes
  • Provide advisory services to clients
  • Provide functional and technical leadership within projects
  • Recommend approaches for complex project development and implementation
  • Review code and architecture for compliance with company standards and industry best practices
  • Write, modify, review, optimize, and debug computer code
  • Contribute to improving work methods and procedures
  • Select libraries and development paradigms
  • Identify opportunities to reuse code
  • Participate in testing and quality control activities
  • Participate in the service offer writing process

Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in digital solutions development
  • Significant experience leading project teams
  • Strong command of front-end architecture with Angular
  • Openness to back-end technologies in C++ and/or Python
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding and knowledge of software architecture
  • Client-oriented approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience starting projects from scratch
  • Full software development lifecycle experience
  • Ability to adapt quickly to achieve objectives in a timely manner
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of unit testing
  • Good knowledge of Agile principles and rituals
  • Bilingualism essential: French and English required for collaboration with internal and external clients throughout North America
