About the role

  • Product Manager owning Spotify’s data catalogue, metadata, and lineage roadmap. Improving how engineers, analysts, and AI agents discover and safely use data.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the product strategy and roadmap for Spotify's data catalogue, metadata, and data lineage domain
  • Diagnose and understand the needs of Spotify's data community, including data engineers, data scientists, analysts, ML engineers, and AI agents
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact problems while balancing user needs, business priorities, platform requirements, and regulatory considerations
  • Evaluate and deliver solutions through building, buying, or integrating third-party products and capabilities
  • Define success metrics and KPIs measuring adoption, value creation, and business impact
  • Build relationships with internal product, engineering, analytics, and data teams
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and data science partners to deliver platform experiences
  • Influence stakeholders across the Data Platform Studio and Spotify organization on product direction and priorities
  • Shape Spotify's approach to metadata, governance, discoverability, lineage, and trust in an AI-driven world
  • Stay informed on trends in data platforms, developer tools, AI/ML infrastructure, analytics, and data governance

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Product Management experience
  • Ideally experience working on platform products, developer tools, data infrastructure, analytics platforms, or data governance systems
  • Technical foundation through a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, and/or prior experience in engineering or technical roles
  • Comfortable working with engineers and engaging in technical discussions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong systems-thinking skills
  • Understanding of data workers’ challenges
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and break down complex problems
  • Interest in AI’s impact on the data landscape
