Project Manager overseeing budgets, schedules, staff, and contractors for Wood’s global mining and metals engineering projects. Hybrid role based in Saskatoon.
About the role
- Senior Project Manager overseeing environmental site investigation and remediation projects at Stantec. Leading project execution, collaborating with clients, and supporting business development activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and/or oversee Phase I ESA delivery (records review, site visits, interpretation, reporting) and support higher complexity or portfolio ESA work
- Manage and/or execute Phase II ESA and related field programs (test pits/borings, sampling, contractor oversight, data evaluation, reporting)
- Provide technical direction to field teams and subcontractors (e.g., drillers, utility locators), including safe work planning and execution
- Promote a strong health and safety culture and actively participate in Stantec’s Health, Safety, Security and Environment Program
- Financial management, including manage project budgets, and working with internal Stantec financial tools to achieve project financial objectives
- Support proposal development and business development activities (scoping, approach, resourcing, and technical write-ups)
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in environmental consulting, industry, or government/regulatory roles, with a focus on managing and coordinating projects and teams
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- P. Eng. is a benefit (and/or eligibility for professional registration, depending on discipline)
- PMP designation is an asset but not a requirement
- Willingness to travel for project work and business development opportunities
- Strong interpersonal and social skills and ability to interact across a broad range of audiences/ technical backgrounds, including internal and external clients and regulatory agencies
