About the role

  • Sales Representative driving lime and limestone growth for Carmeuse, a global producer serving energy, environmental, construction, and manufacturing markets. Managing non-ferrous accounts, prospecting, market strategy, and customer relationships with up to 60% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop new accounts, contracts, and supply agreements
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the designated market segment
  • Prospect new customers and maintain an active, updated pipeline
  • Monitor and manage the sales funnel
  • Address customer concerns in collaboration with other departments and functional areas
  • Introduce Carmeuse functional groups to customers in value-adding ways
  • Build and maintain industry association relationships
  • Maintain Key Account Plans, Key Prospect Plans, and Carmeuse customer, prospect, and competitor databases
  • Conduct regular Carmeuse site visits to obtain operational feedback and understand product and operational capabilities
  • Collaborate with commercial, operations, and supply chain teams on product balance
  • Oversee customer pricing, quotes, sales budget, sales forecasts, and account reports
  • Monitor competing products, competitors, market pricing, competitor customers, and market volume
  • Support other Carmeuse team members at key customers and prospects
  • Coordinate with sales management, sales representatives, customer service, and functional solutions teams
  • Identify opportunities to cultivate business relationships and maintain clear customer value propositions
  • Collaborate with marketing on strategies and tactics supporting customer and Carmeuse objectives
  • Track trends and shifts in the non-ferrous market
  • Strategically drive lime and limestone sales in the non-ferrous segment and identify lime handling equipment opportunities
  • Balance existing-account management and new-business prospecting at approximately 50% or more in each area
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned by the Sales Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field
  • 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience
  • Business development experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time within USA & Canada
