About the role
- Patient Partner Coordinator supporting Stenberg College’s healthcare education programs. Recruiting, training, and coordinating patient partners while integrating patient perspectives into learning initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Stenberg staff to support recruitment of patient partners
- Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with patient partners
- Provide ongoing guidance and support and respond to patient partner needs and concerns
- Ensure patient partners have the information and resources required to contribute effectively
- Act as a key liaison between patient partners and healthcare education providers
- Coordinate orientation and training sessions for patient partners
- Collect feedback through surveys and follow-up conversations to support continuous improvement
- Coordinate honoraria and payments for patient partners accurately and in a timely manner
- Integrate patient perspectives into diploma program delivery and organizational practices
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in healthcare or a related field is an asset
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient engagement, volunteer coordination, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of patient-centered care principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with database management
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
