About the role

  • Loans accounting analyst supporting institutional investors’ North American private fixed-income portfolios at SLC Management. Preparing controls, reconciliations, reporting and Tableau dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Support accounting, valuation and operational requirements for North American Private Fixed Income portfolios
  • Prepare financial, statutory, regulatory, internal and client reporting
  • Create daily movement files with accrued interest calculations
  • Produce daily and monthly fund trial balances
  • Perform control checks, loan price trending, valuation/trial balance analysis and reconciliations
  • Complete monthly and quarterly financial reporting and ad hoc requests
  • Act as Data Owner by investigating data across multiple systems and coordinating improvements with SLC functions
  • Design and create Tableau dashboards for monthly reporting, trend analysis and KPI tracking
  • Help develop efficient processes and maintain and enhance the internal control environment
  • Report to the Associate Director, Loans Accounting and Controls

Requirements

  • Working towards CPA or CFA designation
  • 1–2 years of accounting/finance experience
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
  • General understanding of fixed income assets
  • Flexibility to work 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Availability to perform operations functions during US and Canadian holidays
  • Certain days around month-end, quarter-end and year-end may be ineligible for vacation
  • Required to declare personal investment accounts and securities investments
  • Required to seek preclearance for future transactions, including those of household members
