About the role

  • Intermediate Financial Analyst ensuring accurate accounting transactions and financial controls within Investment Solutions. Collaborating with internal stakeholders for reconciliations, reporting, and audits in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver daily, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting requirements, including reconciliations, analysis, and reporting
  • Investigate reconciling items, cash exceptions, out-of-balance conditions, and operational issues, partnering with internal stakeholders to support timely resolution
  • Analyze accounting transactions and feeder system outputs to confirm completeness and accuracy in the General Ledger
  • Monitor accounting reports, resolve errors, and maintain strong financial discipline
  • Prepare and approve manual journal entries and daily wires
  • Provide regulatory, external, and internal audit support by supplying requested documentation and explanations
  • Design and deploy practical process enhancements and leverage automation to drive productivity
  • Follow established procedures and controls to consistently execute daily, monthly, and ad hoc accounting activities
  • Escalate exceptions, control concerns, and unresolved reconciling items promptly to support issue resolution and risk management
  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and team members to support collaboration and service delivery
  • Maintain accurate supporting documentation and contribute to current procedural materials that support consistency and cross-training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 2–3 years of progressive accounting and/or financial reporting experience
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to investigate and resolve exceptions accurately
  • Owner’s mindset, including being self-directed, adaptable, proactive, and collaborative in a changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • CPA designation, or equivalent qualification
  • Knowledge of administration systems such as Prism, Ingenium, and LA is an asset
  • Proficiency in Excel and Copilot, with working knowledge of internal controls and financial close processes; experience with reporting tools or systems is an asset.
