About the role
- Student Cloud Infrastructure Analyst at Sun Life, helping operate enterprise AI and AWS cloud platforms. Supporting Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automation, and DevOps initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist with enabling and supporting cloud-based AI services and solutions, including AWS-based platforms and tooling
- Support infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code with CloudFormation and/or Terraform
- Help implement and improve automation, CI/CD pipelines, and operational workflows
- Assist with onboarding and supporting teams using shared AI and analytics platforms
- Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with engineers, architects, and platform partners
- Learn how enterprise AI and analytics platforms are designed, deployed, and supported in production
- Observe and assist with monitoring, incident follow-ups, and KTLO operational support tasks
- Identify process improvement opportunities and suggest practical, innovative solutions
- Collaborate with Cloud, Security, Architecture, Data Science, and Analytics teams to deliver platform capabilities
- Apply automation-first and DevOps practices to improve reliability and operational efficiency
- Assist with supporting enterprise AI and analytics platforms such as AWS SageMaker and Snowflake
Requirements

- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts, specifically CloudFormation
- Programming or scripting experience, particularly Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Basic understanding of CI/CD, Git, or DevOps concepts
- Interest in AI, machine learning, analytics platforms, or platform engineering
- Reliability Security Clearance required
- Must account for activities during any period of living or travelling outside Canada for six consecutive months during the last five years as part of the Government of Canada security process
- Must complete a law enforcement inquiry and credit check
