About the role
- Developer Relations Engineer creating technical content, demos, and community engagement for Supabase’s open-source Postgres development platform. Representing the product across events and developer communities.
Responsibilities
- Publish compelling technical content, especially video, to help developers learn Supabase
- Build and ship real-world applications using Supabase, Next.js, React, and Stripe
- Write guides and tutorials that developers can follow and remix
- Speak at meetups and livestream builds
- Engage with the developer ecosystem as a visible representative of Supabase
- Celebrate contributors, answer questions, and highlight community projects
- Bring developer feedback to the team
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and growth teams
- Amplify launches, prioritize content, and reduce friction for new users
Requirements
- Strong engineering skills, especially with JavaScript or TypeScript, Postgres, and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Svelte, or Vue
- Experience creating technical content, written or video
- Comfortable representing a product publicly on camera, on stage, or online
- Full-stack application development experience
- Enjoys sharing technical knowledge
- Ability to create compelling developer-focused content
- Comfort writing video scripts and TypeScript
- Community engagement experience across Discord, Twitter, YouTube, or in person
- Self-directed and organized
- Excited to contribute to open source
- Growing audience on YouTube, Twitch, or Twitter is a bonus
- Prior DevRel or open-source experience is a bonus
- Experience using Supabase is a bonus
