About the role

  • Business Intelligence intern developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for TD, a global financial institution. Applying Azure, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and Python to banking analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide reporting and data visualization for an assigned business or function
  • Provide BI-related reporting support to other areas as assigned
  • Develop and understand business drivers, definitions, and metrics
  • Interpret findings, take action, and provide meaningful business intelligence solutions
  • Develop and maintain specialized reporting packages and dashboards
  • Use data from Azure Cloud localized data marts and other sources
  • Manage the repository of reporting assets, including development scripts, objects, and documentation
  • Adopt, implement, and evolve report automation standards
  • Validate the quality and integrity of data in reporting
  • Participate in a 4-month work term from January 4 to April 23, 2027
  • Work Monday-Friday during standard business hours in a hybrid arrangement

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a recognized undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Statistics, Business, Data Analytics or a related field
  • Must intend to return to school at the start of the work term
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment
  • Experience with telling a story through data visualization
  • Knowledge of one or more of Python, SQL, Tableau, MS Power BI, PySpark, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, or Bitbucket
  • Technical knowledge or experience with Azure Cloud is an asset
  • Strong leadership qualities are assets, including initiative, prioritization, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Must reside in Canada, the country where the role is located
