About the role
- IT Operations Analyst monitoring TD Bank’s critical batch systems and file transfers. Providing incident, change, and production support from the Toronto-area datacentre.
Responsibilities
- Monitor TD production batch and file transfers
- Provide incident management and monitor SLA/SLOs
- Provide front-line support and monitoring of the bank's critical batch environment
- Monitor and provide L1 support for US and Canadian mainframe batch processing
- Monitor Canadian and US distributed batch processing across CA7 and Autosys
- Monitor file transmission across TCP, FTP, NDM, and Tibco platforms
- Handle incident management for outages and communicate with clients during service outages
- Ensure incidents are resolved efficiently with minimal stakeholder impact
- Notify and escalate potential or occurring issues, options, and recommendations for prompt resolution
- Resolve customer and client requests
- Apply effective change management discipline to maintain production stability
- Perform testing according to test plans, monitor and report results, and collaborate on problem resolution
- Support installation, configuration, and upgrades of business applications and systems with appropriate stakeholders
- Work rotating 12-hour shifts, including holidays, in a 24/7/365 department
Requirements
- Experience working with mainframe and distributed systems
- Knowledge of CA7, TSO, Autosys, Idash, Tibco MFT, ServiceNow, and related tools
- Knowledge of TCP, FTP, NDM, and Tibco file transmission platforms
- Ability to monitor batch processing and file transfers
- Ability to provide incident management and monitor SLA/SLOs
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients during service outages
- Ability to notify and escalate issues with options and recommendations
- Ability to resolve customer/client requests
- Ability to apply change management discipline in production environments
- Ability to perform testing according to test plans and report results
- Availability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am, including holidays
- Ability to work from SOC Datacentre, 740 Progress Ave, Scarborough, Ontario, Canada
