About the role
- Quality Engineering Manager leading manual and automated testing for TD Securities’ capital-markets technology. Guiding quality teams, test strategy, and delivery across banking platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and guide a team of quality engineers within portfolios, journeys, lines of business, projects, or features
- Partner with Journey Solution Train Engineers, Release Train Engineers, and Product Owners on test services and strategies
- Drive end-to-end testing for journey, program, and project-originated features
- Drive high-quality delivery practices, requirements, acceptance agreements, environment stability, and risk mitigation
- Coach quality engineering practitioners across platform teams
- Manage large quality engineering programs and projects across multiple technologies, platforms, lines of business, and solutions
- Guide test strategies and test plans for parallel initiatives in TD’s Scaled Agile framework
- Provide subject matter expertise in quality, performance, user experience, and future bug prevention
- Implement test strategies and guide delivery teams in tools and environment setup supporting quality and traceability
- Lead comprehensive end-to-end solution creation with accountability for feature delivery
- Improve test efficiency and optimize testing to generate cost savings
- Provide technical guidance on functional and API automation tools and troubleshoot problems
- Understand requirements, attend workshops, identify resourcing needs, provide estimates, and define operating/governance models
- Build partnerships across teams and departments and optimize talent utilization
- Ensure quality engineering resources are ready and trained for the delivery pipeline
- Implement quality engineering best practices and maintain accurate status tracking and reporting
- Ensure stakeholder alignment through timely status reporting and communicate quality engineering, automation, and non-functional value using metrics
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in functional manual and automation testing
- Working experience in Payments domain, including Fedwire, SWIFT, and LYNX
- Experience with API testing using Rest Assured
- Experience with automation using Selenium
- Knowledge of Maven and Git
- Hands-on knowledge of Core Java
- Hands-on knowledge of Cucumber
- Knowledge of JUnit/TestNG
- Exposure to AI solutions in testing, such as GitHub Copilot or other tools
- Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Scheduling via Jenkins and GitHub Actions
