About the role
- Senior Business Intelligence Analyst designing and optimizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud campaigns for TD, a major Canadian bank. Driving personalization, audience segmentation, experimentation, and marketing ROI.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and measure high-impact direct-to-consumer marketing experiments
- Translate business objectives into insight-rich experiments that drive marketing ROI
- Provide analytical guidance to stakeholders to enhance marketing ROI
- Create, streamline, and optimize Salesforce Marketing Cloud journeys
- Build and deploy campaigns using Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Journey Builder
- Configure audience entry sources, exit criteria, re-entry criteria, and journey decision splits
- Oversee journey planning, technical reviews, quality control, and execution
- Build and maintain responsive modular campaign templates incorporating brand standards
- Perform QA testing of segmented audiences, content accuracy, and device rendering
- Manage and segment audience data using Marketing Cloud tools, APIs, filters, queries, and data extensions
- Troubleshoot campaign development issues, including rendering, links, accessibility, and subscriber lookup
- Use SFMC tools and scripting languages to enable dynamic content and personalization
- Build dynamic campaigns using HTML and AMPscript
- Provide guidance and train specialists on SFMC capabilities and deployment best practices
- Participate in campaign optimization sessions and analyze campaign performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve campaign objectives within timelines
- Manage project pipelines and deliver initiatives from conception to completion
- Continuously improve campaign design and delivery using analytical tools and techniques
- Maintain risk management and control through effective processes and sound infrastructure
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of SQL experience
- Ability to understand and program complex SQL code
- Minimum 2+ years of Salesforce and Marketing Cloud automation experience
- Solid CRM experience and understanding of marketing campaign concepts and best practices
- Extensive Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Data Extensions
- Experience owning multi-audience campaigns
- Proficiency in AMPscript, HTML/CSS, and dynamic content scripting
- Experience creating dynamic and personalized marketing campaigns
- Experience building marketing, analysis, and system-maintenance automations using SQL
- Experience maintaining and optimizing SFMC for performance and data integrity
- Strong knowledge of CASL and other Canadian email-marketing regulatory frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Project management mindset
- 2+ years of journey orchestration experience in Financial Services or another regulated industry
- 2+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
- Track record of working autonomously and navigating ambiguity
- Knowledge of Python is an additional asset
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications are additional assets: Administrator, Developer, and/or Email Specialist
