Responsibilities
Support Cisco UCS infrastructure and VMware virtualization environments
Ensure solutions meet business client and stakeholder needs while adhering to bank technology and quality standards
Maintain understanding of business and technology directions, developments, and industry trends
Oversee solution design, development, and implementation with application leads and architects
Act as escalation point for unresolved VMware virtualization and hardware technical issues
Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and other Technology Solutions areas to develop solutions
Create and maintain virtual infrastructure documentation for project assignments
Communicate and resolve or escalate issues accurately and on time
Monitor service delivery against commitments and prioritize work activities
Follow documented operational procedures with minimal guidance
Analyze operational processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities
Maintain virtual infrastructure and ensure security and patch compliance
Monitor supported environments using VMware Aria Operations, Dynatrace, and Intersight
Ensure platform performance and stability
Requirements
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification in vSphere 8.x or VMware Cloud Foundation
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Familiarity with remediation of software and hardware break/fix on Cisco Data Center products
Strong working knowledge of Cisco Data Center technologies, including Fabric Interconnects, UCS C-Series and B-Series servers, and blade chassis
Expert knowledge of Cisco Data Center networking and storage technologies, including Cisco NX-OS, VLANs, trunking, Fibre Channel, VSANs, and physical connectivity architectures
Expert knowledge of Cisco UCS hardware components, including rack servers, blade servers, Fabric Interconnects, and Fabric Extenders (FEX)
Expertise in UCS Central, UCS Manager, and Cisco Intersight management platforms
Experience designing and deploying service profiles and templates in UCS Central and Intersight
7-10+ years of experience administering enterprise VMware environments
Working experience and knowledge of NSX software-defined networking environments
Experience supporting private and public cloud environments
