Responsibilities
Architect, configure, and maintain Power BI Premium capacities, including workload settings, refresh optimization, and performance monitoring
Manage Power BI Premium capacities and assign workspaces, including workspace and group management
Administer and maintain the Power BI service, including service, gateway, workspaces, dataflows, and apps
Configure and enforce tenant-level settings, policies, and best practices through the Power BI Admin Portal
Manage user access, permissions, and licensing
Apply row-level security and restrict sharing, publishing, exporting, and printing
Support compliance, auditing, data privacy, and data classification
Integrate security with LDAP, AD, Azure AD, SAML, and other identity providers
Enable CI/CD deployment pipelines and manage workspace governance
Monitor data refresh schedules and troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues
Serve as first line of defense when reports fail to refresh or access is denied
Apply best practices for import versus direct connectivity, dataset reuse, and file-size management
Use PowerShell/CMD scripting for automation
Requirements
Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
Graduate degree preferred
7+ years of relevant experience
Deep expertise in Power BI Service administration and Premium capacity management
Strong Azure and Microsoft ecosystem experience
PowerShell scripting for automation and governance
Understanding of DAX, semantic models, and data architecture
Fabric/Databricks experience is a plus for enterprise environments
Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical policies to non-technical business users
