About the role

  • Strategy and Planning Intern supporting TD Securities’ strategic planning, reporting, research, and presentations. Contributing to growth initiatives at TD, a leading global financial institution.

Responsibilities

  • Support the TD Securities Strategy team in obtaining, developing, and tracking data and written inputs for Monthly Operating Reviews, Quarterly Business Updates, and Strategic Business Plans
  • Perform research for team presentations and memos
  • Obtain market share information (league tables) from Bloomberg
  • Help prepare PowerPoint presentation slides
  • Identify and execute efficiencies in the team's work
  • Work with experienced colleagues and participate in TD's co-op/intern programming
  • Work Monday–Friday during standard business hours

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field, with the intent of going back to school at the end of the work term
  • Enrolled or planning to pursue a CPA designation OR committed to pursuing a career in Finance Transformation
  • Financial acumen with curiosity, innovation, and problem-solving orientation
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
  • Detail-oriented, quick to apply new concepts, and high standards for quality and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders at various levels of seniority
  • Ability to build effective and collaborative working relationships with cross-functional teams and business partners
  • Ability to operate as a working lead on assigned initiatives
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proactive and highly motivated, taking initiative
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proven ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • Applications must include a transcript, cover letter of one letter-sized page or less, and résumé of maximum 2 pages
  • Must reside in Canada, the country where the role is located
